Hey friends! Fun and Games James from the Jack promotions department here with a simple, delicious, healthy recipe that’ll help you relieve a little stress!

We’re smashin’ up some GUACAMOLE!

Sure, you could BUY guacamole, but making it yourself has a few cruciall benefits.

  1. It’s easy.
  2. It’s fresher, and there’s no preservatives.
  3. You get to smush out some of your pent-up anger…just think about how your kid ate the last Nanaimo bar when I SPECIFICALLY BOUGHT THAT FOR MYSELF AS A POST WORKOUT TREAT….ahem…I mean…let’s move on.

For this recipe, I’m making enough guac for just myself, as nobody else in the house seems to like it.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED.

-1 Ripe Avocado.

-About 1 teaspoon of Minced Garlic (I buy it in the jar…because well…it’s easier that chopping garlic)

-About a handful of Minced Onion (pro tip: chew gum while chopping onions to avoid the tears…worst case, your sobs of pain will be minty fresh!)

-About a handful of Diced tomato

-2 or 3 slices of Diced Jalapeno (I use pickled jalapeno slices from the jar. I think they have more zip and spice than fresh peppers. If you’re sensitive to spice, you can leave them out entirely.)

-Salt and Pepper to taste

-Half a Lime.

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO.

First, Put all the ingredients in a bowl. If you used the bowl to give yourself a quarantine haircut, rinse it thoroughly.

Then, you SMASH EVERYTHING TOGETHER IN A BLIND RAGE. I like to put on some aggressive music and yell at the top of my lungs, but maybe that’s just me.

Now, here’s a pro tip that will keep your leftovers green and zesty. If there are any leftovers, that is.

Take your lime, and give it a squeezy squeeze.

The lime juice will stop the avocado from turning all brown and scary, and you’ll get a nice tart aftertaste!

The cool thing about cooking is that it’s all about taste, so add or remove ingredients as you see fit. Then spread your new creation on some toast or dip your favourite chips!
