The law has passed and it’s just a matter of time until new rules take effect where it’s an automatic driver’s licence suspension for convicted distracted drivers in Ontario.

The fines will increase from a maximum of $1,000 to up to $2,000 on a second conviction and up to $3,000 for third – why you are doing it even once is beyond me!

If you are found guilty, offenders will have their licence suspended for three days the first time, seven days the second time, and 30 days for any convictions after that plus points.
