Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for all of Southern Ontario for Sunday.

We can expect some damaging winds, with gusts to 90 to 110km/h. The winds will begin to develop Sunday afternoon due to the passage of a short cold front.

The strong winds will continue overnight Sunday and diminish early Monday morning.

In the region we are also expected to see 2cm to 5cm of, which could make for some whiteout conditions mixed with the wind.

Officials say that the treacherous winds could cause damage to buildings such as roof shingles and window. Power outages are also possible.
