The 2017 JUNO Awards celebrate the best in Canadian Music on Sunday, April 2nd in Ottawa.

This morning, the nominations were announced, and The Weeknd, Drake and Shawn Mendes lead the pack with 5 nominations each.

Here are some of the highlights:

 

  • 5 for The Weeknd (JUNO Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and R&B/Soul Recording of the Year)
  • 5 for Drake (JUNO Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Rap Recording of the Year)
  • 5 for Shawn Mendes (JUNO Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year)
  • 4 for Alessia Cara (JUNO Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year)
  • 3 for The Strumbellas (JUNO Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year and Group of the Year)
