Like you needed an excuse to serve up some Caesars.. but today is National Caesar Day!!

In honour of Canada’s 150, treat yourself to the delicious and truly Canadian cocktail.

Yup.. the Caesar was invented right here in Canada in 1969. Walter Chell created the drink in Calgary, Alberta at an Italian restaurant. He mixed vodka with clam and tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and other spices, creating a drink similar to a Bloody Mary but with a uniquely spicy flavour.

350 million Caesars are consumed every year in Canada however it’s our dirty little secret. Ask for a Caesar anywhere else and you might get a bloody mary. Ewwwww.
